A prescribed anti-thyroid medicine works by reducing the production of thyroid hormones and helping restore normal hormone levels in the body.
Indications:
-Treatment of hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid).
-Preparation for thyroidectomy (surgical removal of the thyroid).
-Therapy before and after radioactive iodine treatment.
Main Active Ingredient:
-Carbimazole 5 mg per tablet.
Precautions:
-Consult a doctor if you have mouth ulcers, sore throat, bleeding, or bruising.
-Consult a doctor if you have liver disease.
- Discuss use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding with a physician.
-Avoid use if you have a known allergy to carbimazole.
-Inform your doctor about all other medications being taken.
