Folitab 5 mg 30 Tablets
Folitab 5mg contains Folic Acid.
Folic acid is an important part of biological functioning such as coenzyme formation and metabolism. Additionally, folic indirectly has stimulatory effects on red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets.
Folitab 5mg indications:
• Megaloblastic macrocytic anemia.
• Drug-induced folate deficiency and side effects (example: Methotrexate).
• Prevention of neural tube defects in pregnancy.
How to use folitab 5mg:
1 tablet daily.

Folitab 5mg side effects:
• Gastrointestinal disturbance.
Cautions:
• Folate should not be routinely used in patients receiving coronary stents.
Interactions:
• Sulfasalazine: the absorption of folic acid may be reduced by sulfasalazine.
• Trimethoprim: reduce the effect of folic acid.
• Fluorouracil: concomitant use increases the risk of fluorouracil toxicity.
