Ezetimibe.
Ezetimibe is a selective inhibitor of cholesterol absorption that has been shown to reduce the overall delivery of cholesterol to the liver, thereby promoting the synthesis of LDL receptors, with a subsequent reduction of serum LDL-C.

• Primary hypercholesterolemia.
