A medication used for emergency contraception by delaying ovulation and preventing fertilization or implantation, thereby reducing the risk of pregnancy.
Indications:
Used to reduce the chance of pregnancy after unprotected intercourse.
Can be used in cases of condom breakage or slippage.
Main Active Ingredient:
Levonorgestrel 1.5 mg.
Precautions:
Not intended for routine contraceptive use.
Should not be used if pregnancy is already established.
Effectiveness decreases if taken more than 72 hours after intercourse.
Consult a doctor before use if you are on other medications (e.g., enzyme inducers, some antivirals, certain antibiotics).
Does not protect against sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
